WHERE WE STARTED
Over 20 years ago, Richard Pierce, a fitness and nutrition expert, embarked on a mission to create a better choice of protein that everyone could enjoy – one with cleaner ingredients, a label that was easier to understand, and a product that people felt comfortable consuming themselves and with their families. After consulting with food scientists and industry experts, listening to consumer feedback, and creating his first protein powder in a pickle jar at home (which is proudly displayed to this day), Richard was prepared to take operations to the next level.
Fast forward to 2002, LEANFIT® was born, and the original LEANFIT® Isolate began selling at Costco Canada.
Over time, our products and distribution started to expand. We introduced whey protein, followed by plant protein, and expanded our distribution internationally.
In 2021, the LEANFIT® brand underwent a refreshing and transformative makeover. We introduced new products to meet the evolving needs of our health-conscious consumers and further expanded our distribution both in-store and online.
After nearly 20 years of making its way into households across the world, with the invaluable support of our dedicated employees, leaders, consumers, and ambassadors, we proudly produce some of the #1 products in Canada.
