The Power of a January Reset: Building Habits That Last

The Power of a January Reset: Building Habits That Last

My health and fitness journey began back in 2013, at a time when I was very unhealthy and overweight. I made the decision to take control of my health, and over time I lost over 60 pounds of body fat while gaining a significant amount of muscle. That transformation came from learning how to fuel my body properly, staying consistent, and prioritizing quality nutrition—especially incorporating lean, high-quality protein into my daily routine.

January has always been a meaningful reset month for me, and it’s when I intentionally recommit to habits that support my long-term health and wellness.

Every January, I return to a Whole30 as a way to reset my body and mindset. It helps me refocus on wholesome, nourishing foods and build awareness around what truly makes me feel my best—both physically and mentally.

Daily habits play a huge role in my Path to Progress. I consistently incorporate LEANFIT Collagen and Creatine into my routine. The collagen goes into my coffee every morning, making it an easy, non-negotiable habit that supports my overall wellness. The creatine has become a staple in my fitness routine—it helps with my focus and performance at the gym, allowing me to show up strong and intentional in my workouts.

I also love getting creative in the kitchen and making healthier treats and better-for-you alternatives using LEANFIT protein powder. It allows me to enjoy foods I love while still supporting my goals, and it’s one of my favorite ways to show that healthy living can be both nourishing and enjoyable.

In 2019, I had my son, and postpartum hormones took a significant toll on my body. The last five years have been a journey of learning patience, giving myself grace, and finding my way back to a healthy, sustainable routine. This season of life has reinforced that progress isn’t linear—it’s about consistency and commitment through every phase.

For me, progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about building small, sustainable habits that support long-term health. This January reset helps set the tone for my year, allowing me to prioritize balance, strength, and consistency as I continue moving forward on my Path to Progress.

Your Path to Progress

January is a fresh start - a time to embrace small, meaningful changes that lead to lasting progress. True transformation happens through daily habits, not drastic, unattainable goals. Whether it’s meal prepping, taking a 10-minute walk on your lunch break, journaling to reflect on your day, adding an extra glass of water or protein to your routine, stretching for 5 minutes in the morning, or swapping one processed snack for a healthier option, every small step is part of your journey. Let’s focus on progress over perfection and build sustainable habits together this year! Slow and steady, wins your race.

Your path to progress is uniquely yours - celebrate the wins, big or small, and recognize the effort it takes to show up every day.
